The new "PRIMAVERA" collection is themed on the budding buds and blooming flowers of nature, a season full of brilliance. Gorgeous tableware has been created inspired by the unpredictable yet harmonious workings of nature.
Each piece is handmade by artisans in Turkey, and each one is unique.

BORNN
Bornn is an enamelware brand founded in 2015 by Basak Onay and Oyku Thurston, two sisters from Turkey with backgrounds in the creative industry. They offer a wide range of high-quality tableware with artisanal craftsmanship, with a modern and innovative approach to classic enamelware.
Having grown up in a global environment, having lived in places such as their hometown of Istanbul, Tokyo, Barcelona, ​​and Los Angeles, the two were exposed to different cultures and craftsmanship, and founded BORNN, a company that fuses ancient enamel techniques with Turkish traditions.
Inspired by the fascinating history of enamel, the company creates contemporary and unique handcrafted pieces using traditional manufacturing techniques. All BORNN collections are made in Istanbul by skilled artisans who use their years of experience to develop new techniques and create a wide variety of enamel products.

Regarding the handling of enamel products , enamel is made of glass and has a smooth, non-porous surface, which inhibits bacteria and is easy to clean. With proper use and care, you can use it for a long time as a lifetime product.

About enamel products

Enamelware is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process to produce, traditionally made by melting glass onto heavy steel bodies that are machine-milled or hand-shaped, glazed and then kiln-fired to create a smooth surface.
At BORNN, we use traditional kilns that can produce extremely high firing temperatures. The temperature changes depending on where you place your piece in the kiln, and this affects the color tone of the product, creating a unique beauty and difference in each design.
The entire collection is handmade.
Each product has a different pattern and we see these differences as something special, as unique characteristics of the product that can be enjoyed over time.
Bornn does not use any harmful chemicals in the production of its products, is certified by the strict regulations of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and Proposition 65 (California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act), and all products are tested for cadmium and lead by SGS International laboratories.

Regarding handling of enamel products

• When cleaning, use the smooth side of the sponge. Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool or sponges containing ceramic particles as they may scratch the surface of the product.
• If you use a dishwasher, select the glass washing option. To enjoy the shine of the enamel for a long time, we recommend hand washing.
• Be sure to dry your cookware thoroughly before using it again. Limescale stains can be easily removed with vinegar and water.
• If the stain is severe, instead of using strong cleaning agents or harsh chemicals, you can easily remove the stain by mixing lime water and baking soda.
• If the enamel appears scratched, it may have been scratched by a metal cookware or other item. This is due to metal residue, and will not do much damage to the underlying enamel.
• Enamel is much harder than stainless steel, so stains can be removed simply by scrubbing with a gentle cleaning agent.
• The shiny surface of colored enamel can be affected by highly acidic foods. If you use it with dishes that contain a lot of citrus fruits such as lemons or oranges, the surface may become matte, so in order to maintain the product's luster, please refrain from using it with such dishes. White colored enamelware can be used safely with acidic foods.
• Although the enamel is very durable, please be aware that rough handling or dropping it on a hard surface can chip the glass top coat, exposing the steel frame underneath.
